How we work

We’ve been creating for 10 years, but our collective experience spans many decades, industries and geographies.

  • We work with our clients, not for them. The greatest compliment we can receive is to be regarded as part of a client’s team.

  • Every project is led by a Creative Partner who happily gets their hands dirty. We do it because we love what we do.

  • We’re what-you-see-is-what-you-get. We work honestly and transparently, treating people as we want to be treated ourselves.

  • It’s our proprietary brand model and roadmap for everything we do. It focusses our thinking and enables us to find clarity that ensures brands positively engage with their customers.

Years of experience

Our team brings a wealth of diverse and varied experience delivering creative solutions across many industry sectors,  business sizes and branding challenges.

Andy held senior positions at JWT and DDB. He worked for brand owner Arcadia. His career has covered many brands and market sectors. But most notably he worked on the re-launch of Burberry, worked with Ronseal and more recently was TRESemmé’s first bald Creative Director. He’s passionate about photography and film and has a flare for a good script. In his spare-time he’s usually found with a camera in his hands.

Andy Freeman

Creative Partner

Pete is a super experienced and strategically savvy Creative Director. He has worked at large agencies such as RAPP and his credentials in Property and Professional Services are probably second to none. He is keen that our work generates response and doesn’t believe that strategic and tactical communication should be mutually exclusive. In his spare-time Pete is an extreme marathon runner and thinks nothing of running across the Sahara or over mountain ranges.

Creative Partner

Mandy has worked with Pete and Andy since Urbane opened its doors. She brings years of client and project management experience, and in the words of Andy and Pete, ‘there’s nobody who is more organised, with an extraordinary ability to get things done.’  She brings the ‘yin’ to the creative ‘yang.’ Mandy has worked in many market sectors such as beauty, fashion, healthcare and property. Before that, she lived and worked in Australia as a Marketing Manager at VW.
